Hello people!!
I am in serious need of a motivation partner!!! I need to lose roughly 10-20 pounds (that depends on the day and my mood!) and am seriously lacking the motivation to do so. I am in my early 40s, and get easily discouraged that getting in shape isn't as easy as it was when I was younger.
I work full time, am married with two kids. After a long day at the office (where I sit in front of a computer), I sit in traffic for 45 minutes to get home. Once there, I deal with dinner, cleanup, homework help with the kids, etc. and when it is all said and done, I am exhausted and end up in front of the tv or with a book instead of exercising.
I would like to lose weight because I do not like how I have been feeling lately - tired of feeling heavy, out of shape and lethargic, and I need to do something about it. I am finding that I have a weakness for CARBS. In my mind, it is SO EASY to say that today is the day that I am going to eat better and exercise...even if it is just for a 30 minute walk. But reality sets in and history repeats itself. I need a motivation partner to help me with my willpower and commitment!!

Hi there! Your story sounds very similar to mine with the exception that I will be 40 this year, and I work for myself at home in front of the computer all day....people must think I have so much time but I feel all I do is work and then when my 3 kids get home from school it's all about homework, making dinner and bedtime routines...at 9pm when i sit back down to finish working, i guess i should be on the treadmill! Doesnt happen! Maybe we can help each other!

Replying to both! I am 40 yr old mom of 2, work from home and looking for someone to get psyched up with to work on those lst 20 lbs with. I have lost 32 lbs in the past two years and its time to get toned up and stronger. No need to feel bad about the Carb thing, I think we all struggle with that. I have done a few nighttime workouts recently and it wasnt as bad as I thought! But I hear ya...we all just want to get in our jammies and settle in by that time especially when we know we have to get up and do it all again the next day. If either of you are interested in working with me let me know. Excited to share new info, recipes, & offer each other encouragement & support!

I am and actually think I replied to you on another one this morning! You sound like you have the same schedule as me and work from home...always helpful to have that! Recipes are fun...am always on Pinterest and other web sites like Food.com and Food network looking for new ones that arent so fattening.....should probably look for weight watchers or lower fat recipes but i have a husband that likes to cook but is too busy and three boys so it cant taste like diet food....hard to do! Yep i need some help!
