Hi! My name is Susan and I am a wife and mother to three young children; ages 6, 4 and almost 2. We live is Quincy, IL were I am mostly a SAHM but do work part time from home too. I am trying hard to lose those pesky last ten pounds!!! I work out 5 days a week with weights and cardio, but my real fall back is food. To my shock, so far I have done great on this challenge. However, it has been tough and I feel myself waining a lot! It would be great to find someone to talk with that is also going through this and finding tricks that help them.

Hi there, I am SAHM too, with 3 small children. my youngest is 7months. I live in CO but am originally from IL. I am looking for a partner to challenge me and I can do the same for them. I have reached my pre-preg weight, but am wanting to tone and maybe lose a little more. I try to workout about 5xs a week, but eating for me isn't that great either....would love to be partners through this journey!

Hello! Sounds great! How has the challenge been so far? What do you do for lunch? That seems to be my hardest. I have about 5-10 minutes to make my lunch, so it seems to be either left overs or scrambled eggs with spinach and a piece of fruit.
What type of workouts do you do?
The challenge has been okay so far. Avoiding sweets hasn't seemed to be that bad, but not eating a lot of other things has been really hard. I started eating plain greek yogurt for the first time during this challenge and am actually starting to like it! hehe Adding grapenuts and chopped fresh fruit make for a pretty good breakfast! My four year old loves them (well, he has vanilla yogurt though).
My biggest problem is that I am always hungry. I wasn't before this challenge so I am assuming it has to do with removing sugar. Are you experiencing this too?

Susan, I actually stumbled upon this partnership by being friends of Skinny Ms...I read her stuff, but don't follow her often, so Im not sure of the challenge but would love to do it! I don't get on this page too often, but if you have facebook, we can message each other, that might be the best form of communication for me. I am doing a lot of Lindsay Brin workouts, I love her stuff. I try to workout at least 5 times a week, but as you, it's really hard with 3 little ones! Since I am nursing, I am to my pre-preg weight and try to tone mainly, but overall I'm just challenging my body to more intensity and eating better...Im trying to alter my eating habits so Im trying to change from the regular lunch stuff--being sandwiches to more healthier stuff like green smooties, salads and anything that's good for me.... What are your goals, how long have you been working out? What workouts are you doing?

Susan, I just read the challenge, Im not sure if I can do it all the way bc I often have oatmeal for breakfast and use honey in it, but I do need to break my sugar cravings...Im doing it a different way, Im doing another challenge, no junk food challenge, I can add it somehow if you want to see, other than honey, I will try hard to eliminate added sugar, just don't think I can give up my honey

Hi! Yes, I am on facebook...susan macdonough. What's your name, so I will know to friend you!
I have been doing the no added sugar/sweeteners since the first and it is going okay. I used to eat oatmeal in the morning, but have switched to a parfait instead...1/4 cup grapenuts, 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, and 1/2 cup strawberries. I am getting used to the unsweetened steel cut oats too...add a little straight pb and a little cocoa powder...and yum! :-)
My goals are to lose the last 10 pounds of weight. I am 5'7 and at 140 lbs. With the first two kids the weight came off easily, but with this last one everything has been different. I have been really working at it for the last year. As I lose my weight I want a toned body too! I weight train either 4 days (two lower and two upper) or two days (all body) per week and do cardio 5 days per week. I like the HIIT type of cardio as I can feel it all day long. However, I have been experimenting with cardio mixups - three mini workouts put together. It makes it more interesting.
Sure, send me the challenge! With the no added sugar/sweeteners it pretty much takes away anything that isn't pure!

Hello. I saw Cindy's but none of them say they are from IL and live in CO. There was one that was blank (didn't share their info). I sent her an e-mail and am hoping that was you! If not, try susan porter macdonough...that may work.

Hi Susan,
I too live in Illinois, in the NOrthern burbs.. WHere is QUincy? I have heard of it but am not sure where it is.. I just started eating healthier and excercising.. did the no sugar challenge, did pretty well.. my hardest thing is Weekends and figuring out what to eat that is not the same 3 or 5 things..
I would love a accountability partner, and soem help with eating well and staying on target excercising.
I am also a stay at home mom and have a 6 yr old and a 21 month old
Looks like you have received a lot of replies, so no worries if you found someone..
Best wishes, Kalli
