I'm a 32 year old SAHM of two. I'm doing ok but have been struggling to lose these last 10 pounds for an eternity!! I need a little kick in the butt to get it done in 2012!! I'm dedicating myself to running a 10K and half-marathon this year, although the farthest I have ever run in a 5K (not a runner by nature). I really want to be a great role model for our kiddos & to kiss these last 10 pound goodbye!! Anyone out there in the same situation??

I am a mom of two. 43 y old. I have 10 pounds to lose. I love to run - not fast - but to keep in shape. I have a hip injury after running with my dog and he cut in front of me. :-( I would like more accountability with food intake while I am rehabbing back to running status. I also want some killer arms and abs before summer! I have run 5, 10k's and a half marathon. I would like to get back to that. There is a great book you can get at library or on amazon used called :Kara Goucher's Running for Women: From First Steps to Marathons. It is amazing how fast I improved speed and distance with way less effort that I thought possible. It is also a fun read. LET'S DO THIS THING! Oh, and I'm in Colorado.

Oh, Yvette, that is too bad about your injury!!! I have a friend training for a 10k later this year.... she's participating in a challenge group I have going. You can do this, put your mind to it and you will get to your goals!! Feel free to friend me on Facebook!

I am a 33 year old working mother of 2, ages 5 and 2. I am also not a runner by nature, but have been trying to get myself to love it. I have found it's the only way for me to keep weight off. But, I always find excuses to not go run. I had set a goal of running a 1/2 marathon, thinking it would help me, but I didn't stick with it. I would love to help. There is a 10 k and 1/2 marathon coming up where I live, so we could train "together." My goal is to lose 25 lbs and be able to complete the upcoming runs. Shawna - I think i found you on Facebook.... not sure if it's you though but I see a photo of two cute little girls? I forgot to mention that I'm participating in the Warrior Dash in September, so I need to get a running program going too. I did it last year but ended up SO sore afterwards because I did nothing to prepare. I want to not be so sore this year, so hoping by running ahead of time, it won't be as bad.
